Purpose

Writes a Galactic SPC file.

Synopsis

writespc(x, filename)

Description

WRITESPC writes a Galactic SPC file from the contents of a dataset object. The dataset may contain multiple rows. The output SPC file is formatted as described in the document Galactic Universal Data Format Specification 9/4/97, which can be easily found on the internet.

Inputs

• x = Dataset object whose contents are to be written to an SPC file.

Optional Inputs

• filename = a text string with the name of a SPC file. If filename is omitted, the user is prompted for an output filename.

Outputs

• None.
